2010 Vermentino

2016 Vermentino

The 2011 vintage was a cool and long growing season. This allowed the Vermentino grapes at the Gianelli Estate vineyard to ripen slowly and develop the very distinctive fruit flavors of this Italian variety. Rose petal and ripe pear combined with spicy Muscat-like flavors make this wine a fine example of an Italian grape expression in the Sierra Foothills. This vintage has 9% Fiano that was co-fermented in a Stainless Steel tank with the Vermentino. This is a wine that will continue to imporve with bottle age for another two years.
